The Pen is Mightier than the Sword

Writing is the single unifying factor in any subject area. Whether you are creating a lab report or documenting a process, writing a business letter or compiling the notes to financial statements - writing is the only tool that is required between subject areas.  

The English curriculum at South Mountain Community College runs the gamut from introductory writing and composition skills to more advanced topics, such as writing about literature and magazine article writing. The English as a Second Language program is designed specifically for those with native languages other than English.
